Nuove bands confermate per il programma parallelo del SanMiguel PrimaveraSound
NEW BANDS CONFIRMED FOR THE PARALLEL PROGRAMME IN THE PARC DEL FÒRUM AND SAN MIGUEL PRIMAVERA A LA CIUTAT
40 new names join the San Miguel Primavera Sound complementary activities in the Parc del Fòrum and the San Miguel Primavera a la Ciutat programme. These artists join the ones that have already confirmed their presence at Primavera als Clubs and the two days of free concerts at the Arc de Triomf.
On Tuesday 8th May San Miguel Primavera als Bars will give the starting signal for the twelfth edition of the festival, with a total of 15 free concerts that will go on until Saturday 26th May. Xavier Baró, Renaldo & Clara, Steven Munar & The Miracle Band, Grushenka, Eh!, The Lions Constellation, GRTS, Her Only Presence, Gudar, Eliah Smith, Partido, Elvira, Edith Crash, Dulce Pájara de Juventud and Celestial Bums are the artists that will present their repertoire in bars and restaurants around the centre of Barcelona, unusual venues for live music. The venues that will participate this year are Ryans, Polaroid Bar, Sifó Bar, Café Royale, Psycho Bar, Antic Teatre, Foxy Lady, Mau Mau Underground, Bar 33:45, Bar Absenta, Fantástico and Bar Estació de França.
This year the concerts of Primavera al Parc will move to the central Barcelona Parc de la Ciutadella. On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June some of the international bands that will also play in the Parc del Fòrum (Veronica Falls, Obits, Nick Garrie, Dirty Beaches, Milk Music, Girls Names and Bleached) will perform on its two stages, as well as promising artists from our country (The Free Fall Band, Boreals, April Fool's Day, Cosmen Adelaida and Ocellot).
On Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th May Primavera a Viva Veu will present concerts by Joan Colomo, Aliment, Univers y Sictor Valdaña & The Check This Outs, who will play with no amplification whatsoever in the Fantástico. And for this edition the Red Bull Tour Bus of Primavera al Carrer will park at the entrance to the Parc del Fòrum and will set up its mobile stage on the entrance ramp to the site, where several national and international bands will play from Thursday 30th May until Saturday 2nd June in the early evening.
Inside the Parc del Fòrum we will find the Salón Smint Myspace, that will host performances by Catalan, Spanish and South American bands: Autumn Comets, Capitán, El Faro, Evripidis And His Tragedies, Gabriel y Vencerás, Gudar, Hazte Lapón, Las Nurses, Los Negretes, Stasi, Templeton, Villarroel and Fernando Milagros. They will be accompanied by the three winners of the competition for new bands organised by Myspace and Smint, the final of which will take place on the 12th May in the Parc de la Ciutadella as part of the Primavera al Parc activities.
The minimúsica programme will include concerts by Beach Beach, Anímic, Doble Pletina, Germana and Candela y Los Supremos on Saturday 2nd June in the Parc del Fòrum and of Fred i Son, Refree and Internet2 in the Parc de la Ciutadella on Sunday 3rd. Within this initiative, that aims to integrate children into the festival, there are different workshops for children as well as other free services such as a children’s play area with qualified monitors, free baby-carrier lending-service and free protective headphones.
